“Non-verbal” Red-head Enters the Podcasting Realm
Despite being labeled “non-verbal” by medical experts (a label which my husband vehemently disagrees with), I have found a way to create podcasts!
Using a text-to-mp3 converter and a synthesized voice provided by NeoSpeech’s Kate, I am able to convert my written word into spoken word! Granted it isn’t my voice, but then I don’t use my own legs for mobility either, yet I can still get around. Actually, when I first heard Kate, I jumped out of my chair! She was so clear, for a computer, and perhaps even somewhat sexy! It was love at the first sound byte. Totally amazing!
My book updates are now available as podcasts. Sign up for the updates and have a listen to the podcasts. Let me know what you think.
I feel like I’m still a butterfly emerging from my cocoon of silence. Who knows what opportunities will present themselves now that I can podcast! It means I can now reach people in a whole new way. Ain’t technology grand!
(Thanks to Ken from NextUp for his quick responses to my questions about NeoSpeech.)

Voice synthasizers just rock, don’t they? I know I was blown away by the new podcasting technologies the first time I saw them.
I’m so glad I found your blog (via Jules), and I’m looking forward to your book (Which I’ll try my best to buy when it comes out….money’s tight but I swear I’ll try).
