As I sit here, waiting for the Canada election results, I thought it would be a good time to write my first post for the New Year. I just finished a major-to-me project for our local transit authority. I had the task of developing an accessible website strategy to enhance the existing website to make it more accessible to everyone. However, the strategy went beyond the requirements of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 1.0 and included suggestions on the type of information people with disabilities need in order to use the transit system. It was quite an interesting project!
Now that that is done I can continue writing my book. My goal is still to launch on my 40th birthday – November 4, 2006! It is an ambitious deadline, but I’m confident I can achieve it! I’m working on a website to promote the book. Stay tuned for details!
However, for now I’m going back to The Surly Beaver to watch “contraband election results”! I won’t post them before the cut off time to avoid an arrest, although that could make for another interesting book chapter! Hmm.
