How Much is Too Personal?

Filed under: I'll Do It Myself — Glenda @ 7:19 pm

I finally got back to actually working on my book today. Rereading what I had already written for the chapter on university life, I again found myself wondering how much information is getting too personal. In writing an autobiography, I am, obviously, writing about my life, but how much do I (or should I) divulge to the reader, the public? (more…)

Oh ?

Well, that was disappointing. Two minutes after the polls closed in BC, the were declared the new . So, what was the point to us out here voting? And, another minority government - does that mean that we will go back to the polls yet again in the near future? Ugh. Now the analysts are talking about a potential coalition between the and . Why didn’t they do that before and forgo calling the election in the first place? Well, enough about the . isn’t my strongest topic of discussion. Happy New Year (a wee bit late)

As I sit here, waiting for the election results, I thought it would be a good time to write my first post for the New Year. I just finished a major-to-me project for our local transit authority. I had the task of developing an accessible website strategy to enhance the existing website to make it more accessible to everyone. However, the strategy went beyond the requirements of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 1.0 and included suggestions on the type of information people with disabilities need in order to use the transit system. It was quite an interesting project!

Now that that is done I can continue writing my book. My goal is still to launch on my 40th birthday – November 4, 2006! It is an ambitious deadline, but I’m confident I can achieve it! I’m working on a website to promote the book. Stay tuned for details!

However, for now I’m going back to The Surly Beaver to watch “contraband election results”! I won’t post them before the cut off time to avoid an arrest, although that could make for another interesting book chapter! Hmm.
