Soaring Eagle Communications is committed to increasing awareness and accessibility of communication so that people with disabilities may fully participate in all facets of society. Soaring Eagle Communications:

  • listens carefully to the client's needs and proceeds accordingly;
  • provides quality information based upon personal experience and expertise; and
  • pays particular attention to detail.

Philosophy

The guiding philosophy behind Soaring Eagle Communications is the AAA Principle - accessibility also involves awareness and acceptance of people with disabilities - all disabilities. Soaring Eagle Communications keeps this in mind in all it undertakes.

Principal

Glenda Watson Hyatt (B.A.), as Principal of consultancy Soaring Eagle Communications, has two areas of expertise; first, in web accessibility, enabling all users to utilize websites, regardless of capability or technology used. Glenda recently wrote the Simplified Web Accessibility Guide, making the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 1.0 easy to understand. Subsequently she has developed iWAT, Individualized Web Accessibility Training, to introduce the concepts involved in making websites accessible to everyone.

Glenda's second expertise is as a career issues writer with knowledge of disability-related issues. She has written for various perspectives, including career practitioners, employees and employers.

International Virtual Women's Chamber of Commerce

She is a member of the Guild of Accessible Web Designers and a lifetime member of the International Virtual Women's Chamber of Commerce.
